Elmar Weinmayr

Elmar Weinmayr has been working in Kyoto as an
agent of culture and art between Japan, Europe and
the USA for more than twenty years. In addition to his
work with his gallery, he gives seminars about tea and
lectures and writes about Japanese aesthetics and craft
traditions.
He was born in 1960 in Augsburg, Germany. After
completing his studies in Germany in philosophy and
theology, he went to Japan in 1985 as part of a
several-year research project, which concerned
connections between German and Japanese
philosophy. |
